Implementation Period: From December 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 (5 months).

Project Location: Birzeit Women's Charitable Society Center and the Child Club in Jalazone Camp.

Project Objectives:

The project seeks to achieve the following main objective:
Promoting women's empowerment and gender equality by addressing issues of gender-based violence (GBV) and raising awareness of the legal and social rights of women and children.

Main Project Activities:

1. Women's Training Sessions:
* Implementing 60 training hours (30 hours in each center) for 60 women.
* Focusing on increasing knowledge of legal and social rights, available protection mechanisms, and how to report cases of violence to the relevant authorities.

2. Awareness-raising activities for children:
* Organizing interactive sessions (such as drama and storytelling) for 100 children (including 20% ​​of boys).
* Raising awareness among children, especially girls, about inappropriate touching and discrimination, and how to report them.

3. An educational and recreational day for children: To reinforce awareness messages in a safe and engaging environment.

4. Short film production: Two awareness-raising films will be produced; one for women about their rights and how to contact helplines, and the other for children and their families. The films will be posted on social media platforms.

5. Preparing and distributing a guidebook: Distributing a simplified guidebook in targeted centers summarizing women's rights and basic information about gender-based violence.

6. Collaboration with helplines: Linking beneficiaries to specialized institutions to provide support and counseling when needed.

Expected outputs:

* 60 women equipped with in-depth knowledge about their rights and mechanisms for protection from violence.
* 100 children with greater awareness of how to protect themselves from inappropriate behavior.
* 1,500 indirect beneficiaries through the media campaign, films, and brochures.
* Creating safe communication channels for women and children to report cases of violence.
* Contributing to building a safer and more equal environment for women and children in marginalized communities.

This project addresses a critical knowledge gap by empowering the most vulnerable groups, namely women and children, with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect themselves and claim their rights, contributing to building a more informed and equal society.
